I started out with:
20 seconds walk - 10 seconds sprint (x10)
-then realized that was NOT enough recovery time-
and adjusted it to this:
45 seconds walk - 15 seconds sprint (x8)
Total Distance: 1.14 mi
Total Time: 15 min
Calories burned: 161 (although I think I burned a bit more…)
Moral: HIIT is HARD. and i still am not quite satisfied with my sprint/recovery ratio. also skrillex is excellent sprinting music.
thinking of starting HIIT tomorrow, I hear it’s all the rage in weight loss and muscle gain.
we’ll see how this goes!
