aw i wish i was eating this right now! one of my earlier creations :)
it’s kinda neat to be able to reblog your own original posts!

Homemade Veggie Burger - approx 215 calories each
1 cup grated zucchini
1/4 cup grated carrots
1/2 cup grated potato
3 tablespoons grated onion
1 large egg white
garlic salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon ground ginger

mix all together, pour half the batter onto the pan and fry until brown and crispy on both sides.
put the patty in a 100 calorie orowheat sandwich thins bun with a little bit of vegan ranch, a spinach leaf, and a couple slices of tomato.

this makes about two servings (two patties)  (thus halving the batter in the earlier step)

VOILA! you won’t know what hit you. SO TASTY and filling!

LOW CAL Turkey Sandwich! - approx 172 CALORIESYeah, yeah, it’s using processed lunch meat - but lets be realistic here. As a college student I certainly cannot afford organic turkey slices. Besides, the particular turkey meat I bought is only about 45 cal per SIX slices (and I found I only needed four)! So this is a good alternative for those of us with a smaller bank account.
